Sarah Rushbrooke

Sarah writes a weekly Substack newsletter called The Foibles of a Florist. Expect written essays, floristry advice, rambles about roses or grumbles about the unglamorous sides of floristry. As well as the signature 'Floral Essay' a curated collection of floral images from Sarah's extensive portfolio.

Sarah runs Rook Botanics. RB specialises in weird and wonderful weddings, creating flowers that really honour the personality of the couple. I have no time for never-ending wedding trends. I care about what colour you begged your parents to paint your bedroom walls or what flower makes you remember a loved one. Pulling all this together and translating it into flowers that feel like yours is what I care about.

Flower arranging and wreath making workshops are also an RB staple throughout the year. I come alive in front of a class of people. Everyone should have flowers in their home and know how to arrange them.

Sarah Rushbrooke and Keeley Rees host Flowers & Folklore. The podcast for flower nerds and whimsy seekers.

Ever wondered why you shouldn't bring snowdrops into your home? Or what happens when bluebells ring?

Then this podcast is for you. Each month Sarah or Keeley will take you down riveting rabbit holes and intriguing tangents about a specific flower. Previous episodes include tulip, hellebore and camellia.
